Making EPCs Smart: the tunES Project

The tunES project aims to optimise Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) regulation, integrate it with the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) roll-out in 7 national Energy Agencies, and develop guidance for other Member States. The project's results on a national level will include seven national policy measure packages. The agencies follow the EU Better Regulation Guideline (BRG) to identify and assess the best policy measures.
On EU-level, tunES is developing an EPC & SRI practice collection in collaboration with the NextGen EPC and the SRI clusters. The collection describes a wide range of practices tested to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the tools. tunES invites to contribute to the content of the practice collection: you can access it here. It is a living document which will be maintained for several years. Over time, the document will be extended with the methodological guidance to develop suitable national policies in line with the revised EPBD.
Other Member States are invited to become Followers.
Webinar Alert: Innovating Energy Performance - A Deep Dive into the EPC RECAST Project

April 23rd at 11.00 CET
BUILD UP is hosting a webinar organised by Rehva on Innovating Energy Performance: A Deep Dive into the EPC RECAST Project. The event will delve into the role of the EPC Recast Project in contributing to sustainable and efficient buildings. EPC RECAST is setting up an integrated assessment and certification procedure for EPCs: it is highly modular, with a set of digital tools interfaced with a centralized data model of the building.
This webinar marks the final stages of the project and starts to present the hard work of the past four years. The consortium will try to clearly articulate how the outcomes of the EPC RECAST project contribute to sustainable, affordable, and aesthetically pleasing building stock.
